RefME Awards

UPDATE: A little while ago we wrote this post to tell you about how excited we were to be nominated for the Bully Awards. So, freshly back from Barcelona, we’re REALLY excited to share the news that RefME won the “Young Bull” award. These are only awarded to high-growth young startups with awesome products. Special thanks goes to our amazing community of users, you’re the ones who make this possible! With your support, we might just need a bigger window sill soon…

The Bully Awards is named after the White Bull Summit in Barcelona that takes place this year from the 5th to the 7th October. Out of over 400 promising European companies, RefME is one of only 60 selected as finalists, based o performance, market opportunity and growth potential.

Winners will be announced at a glitzy gala evening on October 7th, chosen by this year’s illustrious judging panel. Those deciding on the ultimate lineup of tech disruptors include the likes of  Tech Crunch editor Mike Butcher and Roxanne Varza, startup lead at Microsoft, as well as a host of journalists, investors, entrepreneurs and tech influencers.

Finalists will also get to present their startups to industry peers and investors at the main stage at Pathways2015. Since 2010, the Bully Awards have seen many of their previous winners make huge waves in the world of tech, from securing large funding rounds to achieving successful exits. Amongst them are two of the UK’s most recent unicorns: Blippar is one of the world’s leading image-recognition software companies which recently partnered up with VOGUE to enable its first Augmented Reality issue. Another Bully Alumnus, Funding Circle, raised over $273 million in equity funding so far from Accel Partners, Index Ventures and others.

We’re really excited to be part of this crowd, and will keep you posted on whether we manage to add this fantastic accolade to our bulging awards shelf… We might need a bigger office soon!
